WhatsApp appointment service
Darshana Ayurveda Pharmacy ("we", "us", "the Clinic") operates an appointment booking service over WhatsApp. This policy explains what personal data we collect through that service, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over it.
This policy covers only the WhatsApp appointment service. Care you receive at the clinic in person is governed by our clinical records policy.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.
When you message our WhatsApp number, we collect:
| Data | Source | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your WhatsApp phone number | Automatically, when you message us | To identify you and reply |
| Your name | You provide it when booking | To record the appointment |
| The content of your messages | You send it | To understand and act on your request |
| The reason for your visit | You provide it, optionally | So the doctor can prepare |
| Appointment details | Generated when you book | To manage the schedule |
| Timestamps of messages | Automatically | To operate the service |
You do not have to tell us why you are coming. If you prefer not to say, we will book the appointment anyway.
Anything you write about your symptoms or health is sensitive personal data. Please share only what is necessary to book the appointment. Discuss your condition in detail with the doctor during the consultation, not over WhatsApp.
Messages you send to this number are read and answered by an automated assistant, not by a person in real time.
The assistant uses an artificial intelligence service provided by Anthropic PBC (the Claude API). To generate a reply, the content of your messages — including any health information you choose to share — is transmitted to Anthropic's systems for processing.
If you would rather not have your messages processed this way, please call the clinic on +91 85220 58811 and book by phone instead.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act.
